Starting at a very young age Joshua has played guitar and wrote some sort of songs on it in one fashion or another. A lone battle of the bands in high school and years of playing open mics in Washington state have made him the songwriter he is. Since 1999 Joshua has being performing, writing and living in the Pacific Northwest, near Tacoma and Olympia, Washington. There he honed is skills and refined his performance on stage, in coffee houses and in the studio. Playing songs he wrote with his experiences in mind and song topics that convey how life and the world around us can have influence us in profound ways. In 2007 Joshua formed the Joshua Adams Band, or JAB. Using his songs, JAB had started to gain local notoriety in 2008-2009. He left the Pacific Northwest due to life interfering with his path. Originally from the Atlanta, Georgia area, Joshua Adams returned to the Southeast in early 2010. With the majority of his family in Atlanta, Ga. as well as a more bustling and hungry Atlanta music scene, Joshua felt the opportunity was presenting itself. Leaving behind his band, friends of decades and the last nearly dozen years of his life in Washington, Josh has reassembled JAB in Atlanta. With all new musicians to revitalize Joshua's music, he is positioned to take over the world. The sound once heavily Jazz influenced has branched out towards Rock and Funk. Joshua writes most of the material especially lyrics. The "New" JAB is starting to take a more united approach to song writing. This is opening pages to JAB that had never been turned before. Moving the JAB sound in a positive forward motion is shaking up creativity in the band. Joshua Adams Band will be performing for the long term in the Southeast and the surrounding states and cities.
Joshua Adams is the song writer, producer, rhythm guitar player and singer of JAB. With that said, he wants to stress that without the band, JAB is just "JA" and although he likes reggae it doesn't define his life like JAB does. Josh has been performing and writing the songs you hear currently solo, but with JAB they become bigger and more in tune with how Josh hears them. JAB as a band has a different dynamic then Josh alone that enhances the songs that he writes to a level out of this world.
